Events in the month of November 2022
Megan Nelson from Orange County Utilities will host this informational session about the Orange County Teach-In to be held November 14-18. Megan will give you all the tools you need to be able to volunteer to describe the water/wastewater industry to your Orange County School of choice. This is a great way to prepare the future of our industry in central Florida.

Please register to receive an invitation to the virtual meeting.

Please also register as an OCPS Additions volunteer and identify your school of choice prior to attending the information session. https://www.foundationforocps.org/p/40/teach-in#.Y1E9bXbMKUk
Speaker : Nelson Perez-Jacome, Assistant Director Engineering & Construction at Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department
Space Coast event. We will have a pavilion and conduct a beach clean-up in coordination with Keep Brevard Beautiful, UCF's Society of Environmental Engineers (SEE), and FIT's American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
Come and join the West Coast Steering Committee at the Columbia Restaurant in welcoming our guest speaker, Justin Fox of Tampa Bay Water, for the fall luncheon.

Justin Fox serves as the engineering manager at Tampa Bay Water. He has worked in the water industry for over 16 years, including the design and construction management of water projects. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Florida State University and a master’s degree in industrial and systems engineering from the University of Florida. He is a member of the American Water Works Association’s technical committees on steel pipe and ductile iron pipe. He is also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Tampa Bay Water is the largest wholesale utility in the southeast United States, supplying drinking water to more than 2.5 million people through its six member governments: Hillsborough County, Pasco County, Pinellas County, New Port Richey, St. Petersburg and Tampa. Justin will present how the agency is addressing the water needs of our region now and for future generations. He will provide background information on the agency’s environmental recovery efforts, the Long-term Master Water Plan, demand management and water quality
This is a regular meeting of the FWEA Board of Directors.
