Megan Nelson from Orange County Utilities will host this informational session about the Orange County Teach-In to be held November 14-18. Megan will give you all the tools you need to be able to volunteer to describe the water/wastewater industry to your Orange County School of choice. Justin Fox serves as the engineering manager at Tampa Bay Water. He has worked in the water industry for over 16 years, including the design and construction management of water projects. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Florida State University and a master’s degree in industrial and systems engineering from the University of Florida. He is a member of the American Water Works Association’s technical committees on steel pipe and ductile iron pipe. He is also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Tampa Bay Water is the largest wholesale utility in the southeast United States, supplying drinking water to more than 2.5 million people through its six member governments: Hillsborough County, Pasco County, Pinellas County, New Port Richey, St. Petersburg and Tampa. Justin will present how the agency is addressing the water needs of our region now and for future generations. He will provide background information on the agency’s environmental recovery efforts, the Long-term Master Water Plan, demand management and water quality
