Award- YP Utility Workers Scholarship Program

The Young Professional (YP) Utility Workers Program is a scholarship program which strives to identify promising young professionals who are currently working in the industry and have the desire to learn more about the water industry and become more engaged with FWEA. The YP Utility Workers Scholarship Program invites Young Professionals actively work in Florida to experience the annual Florida Water Resources Conference (FWRC) with the following goals:
  • Attend technical sessions and visit conference exhibitors
  • Participate in social and young professional activities and events
  • Network with professionals involved in various areas of the water industry
Each scholarship recipient will receive a 3-day agenda specifically designed to provide a well-rounded experience at FWRC. The program will run from Sunday, April 26th, to April, May 28th. This year, FWRC will be held at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, FL from April 26th–29th, 2026.
We ask participants to attend an online orientation prior to the conference (in March 2026) and participate in a post-event conference call and survey. Your input on improving the experience for future participants is essential to ensuring the continued success of the YP Utility Workers Scholarship Program.
